Included among the Titans for being an ancient primordial power of the earlier generations of gods, Pontos represents the sea itself and fish and other animals that live therein. He is not a god of water, nor is he the ruler of the sea; he is the sea itself. He is an aloof deity, but worshiped equally among followers of the Titans and the Olympians.
